Supporting the Future Homes Standard

The Lovell Tomorrow Home project demonstrates how shower waste water heat recovery can help meet the Future Homes Standard while reducing domestic hot water energy demand.

Two research homes at Cornish Park incorporate Recoup Pipe HEX systems alongside a range of low-carbon technologies to evaluate practical solutions for the next generation of energy-efficient housing.

System Design

Both demonstration homes recover heat from shower wastewater to preheat incoming cold water, reducing the energy required for domestic hot water production.
