How Recoup’s Waste Water Heat Recovery Technology Works

Recoup Waste Water Heat Recovery Systems (WWHRS) turn wasted warmth from shower water into usable energy. Using a high-efficiency heat exchanger, our systems capture warmth from shower waste water and use it to preheat the incoming cold mains supply, reducing energy demand without changing the shower comfort.

Waste Water Heat Recovery (WWHR)

Every shower sends litres of warm water away as waste, carrying valuable heat and the energy to make it with it. Recoup Waste Water Heat Recovery Systems (WWHRS) captures this heat before it disappears.

How it works:
Waste water flows through the heat exchanger, cold potable water flows in the other direction. This counter flow heat exchanger makes sure cold water is preheated from 10-12 degrees celcius to 25-28 degrees celcius.

Your boiler or heat pump uses far less energy to reach shower temperature resulting in lower energy costs, reducing co2 and expanding life-cycle of your installation.

Robust design

Recoup Waste Water Heat Recovery Systems are designed with high quality materials ensuring a long life-cycle and 10 years warrenty:

Technical benefits:

  • Double walled, copper-wired inner tube
  • PVC and ABS plastics parts
  • Compleet installation kit
  • Optimized packiging to prevent damage

Reliable performance

Our Waste Water Heat Recovery Systems (WWHRS) capture heat silently and passively, That means no use of electrics or moving parts. Meaning no downtime or human interactions is needed improving reliablity. When the shower is turned on the heat will do his job using the gravity and the exsiting water pressure.

  • No electronincs
  • No moving parts
  • No controls (on/off switch)

Smart integration

Recoup Waste Water Heat Recovery Systems (WWHRS) are designd for high efficiency, simple installation and smart use of space, with minimal components but maximum performance.

  • Maximum 4 components
  • Easy installations
  • Easy integration with excisting installation

Proven, Certified Performance

Recoup products undergo independent laboratory testing to verify:

  • Actual heat-recovery efficiency up to 64,3% (KIWA)
  • Pressure-loss characteristics
  • Backflow protection compliance
  • Material durability and corrosion resistance
  • Compatibility with SAP, EPC and building regulations

This ensures consistent performance for engineers, installers and developers.
